Gluten free diets have become incredibly popular in recent years, though there seem to be mixed reviews on whether or not it is successful.
According to Dr. William Davis, author of Wheat Belly, going gluten free can help alleviate several health issues, especially weight loss. He reported his patients lost 25-30 lbs. within a few months after instructing them to go gluten free. It also has shown to help with arthritis, irritable bowl syndrome, and joint pain, as well as over all mental clarity and emotional stability.
At the same time, you need to be cautious of how you go about eating a gluten free diet. Your diet should consist of mostly veggies, proteins, fruits, and nuts, rather than gluten free grains. It is important to note that going gluten free will only benefit you if you are eating a balanced diet. Just because it is labeled gluten free, does not mean it is healthy! Those who go gluten free and do not focus on eating a balanced diet have actually experienced weight gain.
So, if you are going gluten free, be sure to eat a balanced diet, meaning not as many of the gluten free products (GF pasta, breads, etc.) and more of your fruits and veggies.
From personal experience, eating gluten free has been revolutionary for my health, and has given me energy that I never had before! If it’s done right, it can be very beneficial to your lifestyle.

After a long hiatus (very, very long hiatus) I am finally back guys! Sorry for disappearing on you, but I am reviving and revamping my blog.
